There have been many scientific studies to show the effectiveness of affirmations, and they’ve been used for centuries in ancient cultures and religions.

They have been shown to decrease health-decreasing stress (Sherman et al., 2009; Critcher & Dunning, 2015), been applied effectively in interventions that led participants to change their physical behaviour (Cooke et al., 2014), and even help you to perceive “threatening” messages with less resistance (Logel & Cohen, 2012).
